414 LUV was started June 7th 2007 and was originally birthed on the social network myspace. At the time negativity for local music and the city as a hole seamed to be a all time high. 414 LUV was created to be a platform for local hip-hop artists to connect, showcase there work and network with each other. It also was created to promote pride in ones city. The idea of 414 LUV was that us all as residents of Milwaukee County would say 414 LUV proudly.

414 LUV was started and began promoting local artists and posting motivational, progressive and thought provoking statements. The support from artists and locals after just a few months became so heavy that it was hard to find a myspace page that didn’t have a 414 LUV banner on it or 414 LUV in there top friends. Also the comments section on 414 LUV quickly became like a blog were local artists would promote there music, events, videos, conversate, network and sometimes even argue with each other. To this date the page was viewed over a half a million times.

414 LUV took a step back in 2010 as facebook exploded to a level that it and twitter dominated social networking as a hole. Now in 2011 414 LUV is back promoting artists and representing Milwaukee County. The support for 414 LUV has been overwhelming as countless numbers of artists and Milwaukee people have posted stats and shared 414 LUV to inform all that 414 LUV is still here. The support from the city has confirmed the fact that 414 LUV is still relevant and serves a purpose as a venue and outlet for Milwaukee.

So now to celebrate 4 years since it’s creation 414LUV.COM is born.
